While gadget addicts are racking up big credit card bills buying high tech music players and accessories, I will be rocking out to my favorite tunes without diving into debt thanks to two affordable music gadgets that have impressed me with their performance.
The moment I clip on the SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip 8 GB MP3 Player to my shirt I instantly tune out the world and tune into my favorite music. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small device. The earbuds are comfortable and offer such depth and richness in tone that I don't feel the need to upgrade to a more expensive earphone. The menu is easy for nontechnical people like me to navigate successfully and it has fun features like Go list for your absolute must listen to tunes. My last MP3 player did not have a clip and now that I have the convenience of a clip on MP3 player I am never going back to clipless!
I am phasing out my music CDs (yes I still have some of those relics lying around) to make the switch to digital tunes but I'm not ready to invest in a major MP3 speaker system so I bought a cheap iHome iHM60GY 3.5mm Aux Portable Speaker. It won't make the walls vibrate, but mini speaker does have size defying sound. The compact design provides surprising volume and bass response in a small space-saving speaker that fits in your hand on your desk, packed into your tote bag for short trips etc. The built-in rechargeable battery means you can take your tunes anywhere.
